St. Theresa parishioners are active in area organizations that provide services to residents of Federal Way.

FUSION/Joseph Foundation

In cooperation with other area churches, FUSION provides transitional housing and case management for homeless families in the Federal Way-Tacoma area. The service includes six to eighteen weeks of residency and instruction for self-sufficiency. Contact Peggy LaPorte at 253-927-1904.

Reach Out

Reach Out works in partnership with St. Theresa's and other Federal Way and NE Tacoma churches to provide shelter and meals to homeless men during the winter. In a separate facility, shelter and meals are also provided to homeless women.

Reach Out is an official program of Catholic Community Services (CCS). CCS hires night supervision and intake workers who screen the men and women for a good fit with Reach Out and being around our many volunteers. Counselors are available to the clients through CCS and Valley Cities Counseling and Consultation. With this help, some of the clients move on to more stable living situations.

St. Theresa parishioners can sign up to provide meals to the shelters. For more information, contact Angela Watson at 910-691-4606.
